Mission Statement

Bikes Against Bullies UK is a group set up for bikers, but not limited to them. Anyone can get involved! The aim is to create awareness surrounding bullying and offer support to victims and their families. Our children deserve to be safe, and to be empowered and to live their lives without fear

More About Us

Bikes Against Bullies UK was founded in June 2016 by myself Chris Cooper. My two youngest children ages 11 & 9 were in their schools own words ‘physically & verbally intimidated’ for 12 months. Incidences ranged from name calling to the breaking of my 9 year old sons arm. The school failed to adhere to their own bullying polices, and the local police said they weren’t interested and had far more important things kidsto do. As you can imagine this took an incredible toll on the health and well-being of both children, and us as their parents. During this time one of the main relief’s for my children came from attending motorcycle events – after all we all know what a friendly bunch the motorcycle community is! After the story hit the national media, we became inundated with messages of support, but also sadly, messages of similar experiences – involving the extent of bullying, the negative outcomes for its victims and their families, and also often the lack from both police and educational institutions to deal with bullying issues.  And so Bikes Against Bullies UK was founded!

The aim is a simple one: create awareness surrounding bullying and offer support to victims and their families. We aim to achieve this in a number of ways, from raising public awareness through materials such as patches and t-shirts which are available to buy, educational posters for schools and youth clubs, our annual ride outs and other public events. To also providing anti bullying resources found on this website, anti-bullying ambassadors who can work with youth groups and schools, and then lastly victim support rides, to show victims that we support them.

The sad truth is bullying affects over 43% of children within the UK, with 44% reporting being bullied at least once a week. 74% victims report being physically assaulted at some point. This has to stop! Join us in ‘Taking a Stand & Stand Up To Bullying’
